… when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world and return to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. (John 13:1)
Come, Holy Spirit! Come and form my heart.
Configure me to Christ, my Lord and Savior, who poured out his entire self for love of me. I who am so undeserving of such mercy, such kindness, such generosity!
Break all my fetters, Lord; all that ties me down and keeps me bound. Strip me of all that is not of Yourself, Jesus.
I give you my heart. I entrust all of me to your loving work of sanctification.
I give you my will, my preferences, my tastes and my merely human understanding. Do this work your way Lord, not mine.
I bow before you. I worship and adore you. I acknowledge the legitimacy of your claim over the entirety of my life, for you have given all to me. Every heartbeat, every breath is your gift.
You have given all of yourself for me, dearest Savior. You have held nothing back. I owe you as much.
In trust and gratitude, I am yours, Lord. Take me as I am and make me entirely your own.
Amen
